Nowadays, it's quite hard to find a car seat that is easy for parents to use as well as comfortable for the little passenger. The Graco Slimfit Car Seat seems to have achieved these without the hefty price tag. However, that's not all why it's famous to parents.

Booster Mode Height Limit: | 38 to 57 inches |
The Graco Slimfit is an All In One car seat that promises to be utilized from infancy until your child no longer needs to be in a car seat.
It has four recline positions suitable for younger babies who do not have a proper head and neck control yet.
Parents who have older kids wish that a good amount of recline will still be usable for older children in the forward-facing position so that their heads will be more comfortable when sleeping and not flopping around.
Width | 19.88 inches |
Height | 25.5 inches |
Depth/Length | 21.5 inches |
One of the reasons why parents seem to be attracted to the Graco Slimfit is because it is being advertised as “slim.” Like the Diono Radian 3RXT, parents expect to fit three of the Slimfit in a row.
The 19.88 inches width is reduced a little by rotating the cupholder inwards, making the seat slimmer. See this video.
Some parents manage to fit three in a row using different combinations of modes and/or car seat types.
Combination 1: Graco Slimfit forward-facing (left and right side) + Graco Slimfit rear-facing in the center.
Combination 2: Graco Slimfit (left side) + 1 infant car seat in the middle + Graco Slimfit (right side).
For parents who only need two Slimfits, this is how they set it up:
Setup 1: Graco Slimfit left OR right side + 1 Slimfit in the middle. This setup leaves space for another slender adult passenger on one side.
Setup 2: Graco Slimfit on both sides (left AND right) + one thin adult passenger in the middle.
The “slim” feature only applies though when the cup holder is rotated.

Easy To Install With Seat Belt Rear-Facing/Forward-Facing? | Yes |
Easy To Uninstall? | Yes |
The Graco Slimfit All In One is easy to install in all modes, whether by the LATCH or by the car seat belt.
If you need to recline it for proper age/weight requirement, you can find the handle to recline in front of the car seat.
The recline indicator is found on the side of the base and you can easily read it - unlike other car seats which only uses a horizontal line for you to literally level with the ground.
Installation using the LATCH can be done more effectively by pressing the car seat toward the back and giving the LATCH strap a sudden hard pull. It will help a lot if you pull/tighten the strap through the inside of the seat.
Forward-facing wise, you need to pull away the cushion on the front seat so you can easily access the seat belt path. You SHOULD reach the seat belt from the front.

Consider narrowing down your options by focusing on those made with EPP or EPS foam for impact management. Both materials meet government safety regulations, but EPP foam is more elastic and less brittle than EPS foam, making it better at withstanding multiple impacts and regaining its shape.
Keep in mind that any seat involved in an accident should be replaced, regardless of the foam type.

The Graco Slimfit is highly praised for being well-padded and cushiony - something that is worth noting when you are looking for a comfortable seat.
It is also not very heavy since it is only less than 20 pounds. Some steel-reinforced framed seats can go as heavy as 30 pounds.
You can easily remove the seat cover without removing the seat harness. That’s a good point especially if your child often spills liquid in the seat which makes washing the cover often necessary.
It’s roomy for a growing child. You can easily adjust the headrest up and down together with the seat harness height into any of the ten positions available.
Should your child’s crotch area needs a little more space, adjust the buckle position so that it’s not too tight in that area. There are three slots for the crotch buckle position.
It also comes with a cup holder that you can rotate to save on vehicle space should you need to install two or three car seats beside each other.
As a bonus, a harness holder is available so that as you put your child in the car seat, you won’t need to dig for the harness since your child can usually sit on them.
The Graco Slimfit All In One seems to be a good car seat. The safety features, ease of installation as well as the child’s comfort are all assured given the price point.
However, the “slim” feature should be defined correctly. To set the expectations right, it is only slim width-wise, at least when you rotate the cup holder inwards.
If you are looking for a seat that can fit three in a row (same models/same car seats), check out the Diono Radian 3RXT*, 3RX*, or 3R*. I have compared them here and you can check the individual and comparison reviews of them inside this article.
If you are not looking to install three Graco Slimfit car seats in a row, it is a good choice.
To further verify your decision, I highly suggest that you check out what parents who got this seat are saying.
