The “slimmer look” in the “Slimfit” is only made obvious when the cupholder in the Graco Slimfit seat is rotated inwards. It's an option that the Graco 4ever DLX doesn’t have.

Though both have steel-reinforced frames, the Graco Slimfit weighs much less than the 4ever DLX. It’s great for those who want a lighter frame, especially for air travel.
There is an approximately USD 70 price difference between the Graco Slimfit and the Graco 4ever DLX, which is more expensive.
The added cost of the 4ever DLX seems to be only because
- It can be a backless booster seat, and
- The seat's weight limit is 120 pounds instead of 100 lbs.
Now, let’s see what you get with Slimfit aside from saving USD 70.
- The rotating cup holder can make the car seat a little “slimmer” - although the change in width is not very obvious.
- It’s a little lighter - something to note when you must lug it around to air travel.
Both seats are good and safe choices. The added weight limit easily justifies the Graco 4ever DLX's additional cost.
The savings you get from the Slimfit are also not bad, especially if you are not after its “SLIM” feature.

Hey!! Great comparison!! I’m in need of something like this to decide… My twins are coming next December and I’m struggling to identify a car seat that allows for someone to be seated in between and some of the normal ones are huge!! And I’m looking for something that last and extends… I think Gracco SlimFit will be…
Hi Hector,
Glad to have helped you decide. 🙂 Congratulations on your twins! 🙂
Kind Regards,
