When it comes to choosing a car seat for your child, the decision can be difficult. Should you go for the Cybex Sirona S or the Graco 4ever DLX?

While the Cybex seat is more expensive, it does come equipped with some features that the Graco seat does not. But at the same time, the Graco seat offers a few more benefits that the Cybex seat lacks.

So what should you go for?

Installing the Cybex Sirona S with LATCH can be tricky for some. When testing for wobbling, only test along the belt path and make sure there is no more than 1 inch of movement. Additionally, the quality of the vehicle seat can affect the grip of the Cybex car seat, and if there is a wobble issue, try installing the car seat on the unused side of the rear seat.

The Graco 4Ever DLX is color coded and has a seatbelt lock off for easy installation. It is important to note that if your car is large, the LATCH straps may be too short. It is also important to make sure that the LATCH straps are inserted in the correct slots depending on the install type (rear-facing or forward-facing). If the LATCH straps are too short, contact Graco customer services to get longer straps.

In general, the Cybex Sirona S and Graco 4ever DLX are both easy to install in both rear-facing and forward-facing positions, and easy to uninstall, too.

The Cybex Sirona S has a weight of 30.4 pounds and comes with one cup holder, while the Graco 4ever DLX is lighter at 23 pounds and comes with two cup holders.

Additionally, the Sirona S offers 12 reclining positions compared to the 6 reclining positions offered by the 4ever DLX.

My Final Verdict

There is an approximately USD170 price difference between the Cybex Sirona S and the Graco 4ever DLX. The Cybex seat is more expensive.

Cybex justifies its pricepoint by

  • Adding a rotation feature in the rear-facing mode for easily putting your child in and out of the seat
  • Having a higher weight limit in the rear-facing mode
  • Being slightly narrower
  • Having twice the recline positions of Graco 4ever DLX (12 instead of just 6)

By going for the Graco 4ever DLX, you get

  • A highback booster seat you can use for up to 100 pounds and 57 inches
  • A backless booster mode you can use for up to 120 pounds
  • A more compact seat
  • A seat you can use for air travel
  • A lighter seat
  • A Rapid Remove cover
  • An extra cup holder
