Parents absolutely love the 360-degree swivel feature of the Evenflo Gold Revolve 360 car seat. It makes it so much easier to get a child in and out and to make sure they are safely strapped in.

However, here are some things to consider: its size, seat installation, air-traveling, seat harness, weight, forward-facing recline, and rattling headrest.

Will this still be a great car seat to recommend? Let's find out.

The Evenflo Gold Revolve 360 is huge and it definitely would definitely take up a lot of room. It's 19.8 inches wide, 25.9 inches in height and 21 inches in length, so it's not one of those car seats that would fit easily into all vehicles or seating positions.

Easy To Uninstall?

The Evenflo Gold Revolve 360 car seat is a great idea in concept. Installing the base is relatively simple: just use the vehicle’s seat belt so you don’t have to uninstall/install it again since LATCH installation usually has weight limits.

Note that some parents say that after installation, the main car seat often feels wobbly and not secure, which can be unsettling when your child is in it.

When checking to see if your car seat is installed correctly, it's important to remember that testing should only be done on the belt path. Testing from any other part of the seat won't give an accurate indication and may result in excessive movement. Any wobbling at the top doesn't necessarily mean that it's not correctly installed. On the belt path, keep an eye out for no more than 1 inch of movement.

Evenflo Gold Revolve 360 Installation

Also, the Evenflo Gold Revolve 360 car seat does not come with a separate base, so it may not be the best option if you need to install one seat in multiple cars. Additionally, this car seat does not have a compatible stroller available to make transferring the car seat from the car to another location easy and convenient.

Easy To Buckle And Unbuckle?

This car seat is not suitable for air travel, as it only attaches to the base, making it unsafe to use in flight. This means that you will need to check the car seat in as separate luggage, adding another layer of complexity to the travel experience.

The lack of an airline-approved option is an unfortunate oversight, as it limits the range of options for parents who want to travel with their car seat.

The Evenflo Gold Revolve 360 car seat has some serious flaws when it comes to the straps. Not only are they extremely thin and easily tangled, but the buckles at the bottom are large, hard plastic pieces that can dig into a baby's legs. Moreover, the straps don't extend far enough to adjust, meaning that they can cause discomfort for children with chubby legs. Adjusting the position of the straps found in between the child's legs can be used to resolve issues like this.

The straps can be flimsy and require a lot of work to adjust - especially when your child is wearing a heavy jacket. Furthermore, the straps can be awkward to put around the child and snap in, as there isn't access to one in the back to help pull them into position.

Good Convertible Car Seats Of 2023

Consider narrowing down your options by focusing on those made with EPP or EPS foam for impact management. Both materials meet government safety regulations, but EPP foam is more elastic and less brittle than EPS foam, making it better at withstanding multiple impacts and regaining its shape.

Keep in mind that any seat involved in an accident should be replaced, regardless of the foam type.

The standout feature of the Evenflo 360 is its remarkable ability to rotate a full 360 degrees, even when in forward-facing mode.

Unlike other rotating car seats such as Graco Turn2me, Cybex Sirona S, and Baby Jogger City Turn car seat models, the Evenflo 360 can still turn in the forward-facing mode. That is because you attach the tether to the base of the Evenflo 360, whereas for the three other rotating seats, their tethers should be attached to the seat themselves. This will prevent these seats from rotating.

Some parents would say that the handle for the headrest rattles so much it's almost unbearable. Evenflo says this is normal because of the adjustable headrest feature, but it can still be a major annoyance.

This car seat is great for rear-facing, as it offers a comfortable recliner-style seating position. However, when it comes to forward-facing, the upright sitting position may not be ideal for sleeping toddlers, as their heads can flop forward if the seat cannot be reclined further.

The Gold Revolve car seat has an impressive “Lifetime” warranty, offering 10 years of coverage - which is much longer than the limited 90-day warranty on the other model (not the Gold version).

My Final Verdict

The Evenflo Gold Revolve 360 car seat base can be easy to install. Unfortunately, the seat is not suitable for air travel, which limits the options for parents who want to travel with their car seat.

While the Evenflo Gold Revolve base is reliable and secure, the rotating seat is unstable and wobbly. Many parents have reported that after installation, the seat would not rotate all the way and would get stuck.

Many parents have found that when the car seat becomes stuck, it can be resolved by first reclining the seat to its most reclined position. Then, you should pull the lever behind the headrest and push it down to ensure that it is in the infant position. After doing this, you should be able to rotate the "stuck" seat all the way around.

The bottom of the seat is curved, making it easy to rotate in the base, but it doesn't sit flat and stable when taken out of the base.

While the car seat might have some advantages in terms of safety, parents should be aware of the potential drawbacks when it comes to the straps before making a purchase.

Additionally, the handle for the headrest has been known to rattle loudly, although this is supposedly normal due to the adjustable headrest feature.

Overall, the Gold Revolve car seat is an excellent choice for rear-facing passengers, offering a comfortable reclining position. Although it may not be the ideal choice for forward-facing passengers, due to its upright seating position, its impressive 10-year warranty extends much further than other models.
