The Kolcraft Cloud Plus Lightweight Stroller* is fully packed with awesome features but as expected, no product is perfect.
Before we talk about the main issue parents have about this stroller, let’s see what this umbrella stroller has that makes most buyers happy.
Kolcraft Cloud Plus Lightweight Stroller*
It Is Light And Compact
The weight of this stroller is just 12 pounds. The folded dimensions are:
- Width: 18 inches
- Depth: 12 inches
- Height: 34 inches
The Basket Is HUGE
This umbrella stroller comes with an excellent size storage basket under the seat. It also easily accessible. You can put your large-sized diaper bag and some other things.
Be mindful of the maximum weight of the stroller, which is 50 pounds. When you add the weight of your little passenger, it would be better if you will not go overboard.
The Canopy Coverage + The Peekaboo Window
The canopy has a nice coverage and has a peekaboo window. While providing enough coverage for your little one, it is good that you can easily check on your little one too because of the peekaboo window.
It Can Stand Upright Once Folded
This is an important feature that parents who often travel alone will appreciate. Similarly, parents who take public transports will come to love that they need not hold it once they board a bus, for instance.
It Has A Child’s Tray + Parent’s Tray!
There are not so many umbrella strollers at this price point that include a child tray with a cup holder as well as a parent tray with two cup holders!
The Seat Can Recline
Compared to the other Kolkraft Cloud Umbrella stroller* which cannot recline, this one can let your child take a nap comfortably.
Other Things To Note
- It is JPMA certified.
- It has a one-year warranty from Kolkraft.
- It has a five-point harness for safety.
- It has an all-terrain wheel with front suspension
- The assembled dimensions are: Width: 18 inches, Depth: 31.25 inches, and Height: 34 inches.
It Is Highly Affordable
Given the above mentioned useful features, it is relatively inexpensive. Check the latest price here.*
Now Let’s Talk About The Main Problems Of The Stroller
The Cup Holders Are Too Small
I don’t know about you, but some parents take this as a big issue as carrying a water bottle or a sippy cup for their little ones is a must.
The cup holders only work for smaller bottles.
If you have a sippy cup which has a similar size to a Playtex sippy cup*, it will not fit in the cup holder designated for the child.
The Stroller Handle’s Height
The handlebar is relatively low for someone in the height range of 5’10” and up. You will need to hunch a little to push it around.
It Does Not Fold Compact Enough
Because it does not fold compact enough, expect to take up a lot of space in your car trunk.
And the claim to be a “one-hand” fold is not true all the time. There is a certain step-by-step procedure to follow and avoid to fold it efficiently.
Refer To This Video On How To Easily Fold It:
Conclusion
I highly doubt that the “all-terrain” wheel can take rocky or rough roads. And although it has a front suspension which is supposed to give your passenger a smooth ride, DO NOT expect a ride as smooth as when you are using strollers with bigger air-filled wheels such as jogging strollers.
The basket underneath can solve the issue with cup holders if you are referring to putting bottled drinks. Anyway, it’s never safe to put a hot coffee in a stroller’s cup holder even if it perfectly fits in there.
Given the price point, The Kolcraft Umbrella Stroller has much to offer.
The good sides outweigh the bad sides.

Hi,
What is the maximum baby weight for the stroller?
Hi Kassandra,
It can hold children up to 50 pounds.
Kind Regards,

Will the Kolcraft Cloud Plus stroller work on the beach? I ordered it because it stated it was all-terrain.
Hi LeAndre,
Like what I said in my conclusion, I highly doubt the “all-terrain” claim.
We used to have a Graco stroller (now discontinued) that has almost the same wheels’ size as the Kolcraft Cloud Plus stroller. It rolls ok when the sand is hard. But once we go to the uneven parts of the beach, the size of the wheels cannot overcome the different “heights” of the sand.
Also, there is a tendency for the wheels to be stuck in the sand, so we ended up avoiding the soft and uneven parts of the beach. We just strolled in areas where the wheels don’t go into the sand.
I hope this helps.
Kind Regards,
Pitin
Can I use this stroller, the Kolcraft Cloud Plus Lightweight Stroller, for a newborn?
Hi Holly,
If it is a newborn, no. The seat only reclines around 135 degrees. Your child must at least have a good head and neck control to be able to comfortably be seated.
Kind Regards,
Pitin
Does this recline fully? As in flat? Or just partially? Thank you
Hi Christina,
It does not recline completely flat.

Pitin
Can you put a carseat in the stroller?
Hi Elsa,
It is not meant to be used with an infant car seat. I hope this helps.
Regards,
Pitin
I am looking to buy a new stroller for my little one as we are planning on going away for a few days and the one we have has had its day!
I think a compact stroller when folded is important. Many times I have been away and had to rent a car only to find the stroller will not fit into the trunk as it does not fold up tight enough.
I think it is always something people overlook when searching for out a new stroller.
I guess it would be a bit of a pain too when it comes to the cup holders. I also sometimes have this problem with the cup holders in the car too 🙂
Looking at this model though I think the price is very reasonable.. is this the cheapest option if you buy it online?
Thanks
Chris
Hi Chris,
Are you looking for the most “compact” stroller that can fit almost anywhere, even your bag? I’m not kidding! You should check out the GB Pockit Stroller (My Review Here). That’s your best bet if “compactness” and portability is what you are looking for.
However, the price of the Kolcraft Cloud Plus is unbeatable for the functions it offers. And yup, this is the cheapest option if you buy it online.
Regards,
Pitin
You reckon this is good for runs?
Hi Santosh,
This is not a jogging stroller. Jogging strollers’ wheels usually come in big sizes and are air-filled. I suggest you check out the Bob Revolution Flex (My review here) since it is one of the best jogging strollers nowadays. 🙂
Cheers,
Pitin
