While some wrestle with the straps, the LATCH, and even seat belts, just to make sure that it is tight and secure enough, the Evenflo Symphony DLX Car Seat (a.k.a. Symphony Elite) auto-tightens for you to make sure your seat doesn't move even an inch, after attaching the LATCH hooks to your car.

Take note of the Evenflo Symphony DLX car seat dimensions as it will dictate if this can fit into your vehicle. It is a large and wide car seat that will take up a lot of space in a small vehicle.

Recline Position | 1 for rear-facing (all the way up or down) and 2 for forward-facing |
The lack of variety in the angle of recline can be tricky to find the best angle suitable for your younger child’s comfort, especially in rear-facing mode. Using a pool noodle or rolled towel can help.
Because the Evenflo Symphony DLX car seat does not have a built-in level which you are supposed to level with the ground to ensure that it is at the correct angle, your eyesight will be challenged.
They have an arrow on the base part of the seat for that function instead of the usual easy-to-use bubble.
When you are about to install the seat in your car, just locate the LATCH connectors and click on each connector.
Instead of struggling to pull the straps tight, just push down on the seat and the auto-retractor will tighten and secure the seat for you. That will take approximately a minute and you’re done with a safe installation.
The Evenflo Symphony DLX car seat is by far one of the EASIEST car seats to install out there as it can click in and out of vehicles easily. This will probably be your favorite feature as it can make it very easy for you to secure a seat in the car.
However, the lack of good information on Youtube about easily installing the Evenflo Symphony DLX Elite can be quite frustrating.
Most parents who got this seat highly praised it for being very easy to install, but it would be better if you can see them in action.
Nevertheless, The Sure Latch connectors are the lifesaver for installation dummies.
In some reviews, some parents say that they wish the length of the latch straps would be made a little longer so that it would reach their car LATCH hooks for easy forward-facing installation.
Well, it's not actually "too short" for forward-facing because you have to reposition it.
Good Convertible Car Seats Of 2023
Consider narrowing down your options by focusing on those made with EPP or EPS foam for impact management. Both materials meet government safety regulations, but EPP foam is more elastic and less brittle than EPS foam, making it better at withstanding multiple impacts and regaining its shape.
Keep in mind that any seat involved in an accident should be replaced, regardless of the foam type.

Make sure that you put the seat harness buckle tongue into the allotted pockets. Getting it out of the way before you put your child into the seat will reduce the digging you will have to do once you already need to buckle your child in the seat.
Take note that "Ocala" and "Porter" fashions do not have the buckle pockets feature.

It Is Nicely Padded And Super Sturdy. The Evenflo Symphony DLX car seat provides soft and plush padding for a super comfortable ride. As complemented by most parents, it keeps their kids stay cool even if it is super hot outside.
Unlike some seats that have four or more harness slots for you to use every time your child grows, the Evenflo Symphony DLX seat harness only needs to be slid up and down to accommodate the additional height and ensure a good fit.
Adjusting the shoulder strap height will surely make growing into this seat a breeze.
The Headrest Is Easy To Adjust. Raising the head to rest up for a taller kid or down for newborns and young infants is as simple as sliding the headrest up and down.
I feel that because of the problem of recline for newborns and younger children, the Evenflo Symphony DLX car seat would be best used starting the forward-facing mode. It's probably best to get an infant car seat first if this is the convertible seat you intend to use for forward-facing until booster mode.
The ability to install it in a breeze is a sure winner because this is one of the most crucial parts of owning a car seat. What good is a sturdy and safe car seat when you can't have it installed properly, right?
One thing to take note of is that the SureLATCH connectors can only be used to 40 pounds. Beyond that, you will have to use the car’s lap/shoulder belt plus the tether, forward-facing, which according to most parents, is also easily done.
Because of the Evenflo Symphony DLX's size, it is ideal to leave it inside your vehicle once installed as its size is not the most suitable size to lug around with you.
Although it's an older design, this model is still remarkably effective.
I highly suggest that you check out the feedbacks of parents who got this seat to help you decide.

Its so great to come across your website and this Post! My wife and I are pregnant with our first child. After years of having trouble to make a baby we finally succeeded again. I say again because we lost our baby a year ago and that was very, very difficult on us both. I still have not gotten over it, but when the new baby comes it should help us forget about our past loss.
We are definitely in the market for a car seat. This seems to be the best of its kind and all that we will need. The videos about this car seat are extremely helpful. Thanks. Where can I buy one?
Hi Matty,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss and thank you for sharing.
This seat is cheapest at Amazon.com.

You wouldn’t think that installing a carseat would take a rocket scientist but it really can be hard to figure out! Every car seat seems to be a little different and I’m not kidding when I say I’ve seen some that take 30-60 minutes to adjust. I’ve never seen one quite like this that looks so easy to install and make modifications to. I love that you don’t have to rethread the straps and they can just be moved up and down as your child grows. I also love how easy it is to secure the car seat so that it doesn’t move 🙂

Hi Jessica,
This so far is my favorite of all the convertible car seats I have reviewed. It’s because I am not very good in understanding installation manuals let alone, troubleshoot any installation issues that may come along the way.
The fact that it auto-tightens is what sold me to the seat. However, I believe that my search is still not over. I am hoping to find a more affordable option with the same auto-tightening feature but so far, no luck. So I’ll stick my vote to this. 🙂

Thank God I have found you! Every parent, I am sure, has researched to exhaustion the items we will be buying for our babies. Car seats have to be at the top of the list. I don’t believe there is another product that will have more of an impact on safety, than a car seat.
Thank you for the quality review of the Symphony DLX.
Which infant car seat, would you recommend, before going to the Symphony DLX?
Thanks again.
Hi there,
I’d probably go with Chicco Keyfit 30, but I’ll choose from the ones with 3-panel canopy for enough sun protection. There are three colors which specifically have the most canopy coverage – the Lilia, Papyrus, and Polaris.
