The Britax Boulevard Clicktight car seat has an easy installation system that promises to make it as simple as buckling your belt. But is the Britax Boulevard Clicktight Car Seat "Clicktight system" useless? Let's take a look at this car seat and find out for ourselves!

The Boulevard Clicktight comes with 7 recline positions. There are times when you would need to use a pool noodle to get a more reclined seat, especially for younger children.
It can be too upright for babies who have no head and neck control yet.
It’s easier to install rear-facing and forward-facing IF the seat belt is used instead of the LATCH. Using the seat belt, you just need to lift the seat, buckle the seat belt across, and shut the seat.
Uninstalling the seat regardless of where it faces will also be easier if the vehicle seat belt is used instead of the LATCH. The LATCH of this seat is the “hook” type where uninstalling can be a challenge.
To easily unhook the LATCH, you just have to press down on the lower part of the hook, push it, twist it 45 degrees, before pulling it for uninstallation.

One advantage of the Boulevard Clicktight when it comes to safety is that it has two layers of side impact protection instead of the usual one-layer that the Marathon Clicktight is equipped with.
Loosening the harness straps will need you to push the harness adjuster button using your index and middle finger. Your thumb will be too short to reach the button since it is deeply hidden.
You will also hear an audible click once you pull the harness adjuster. That click (a.k.a. Click & Safe Snug Harness Indicator) will tell you that you are in the range of proper tightness of the seat harness.
The Britax ClickTight Anti Rebound Bar Accessory* can be installed when the seat is rear-facing so as to improve the protection during frontal/rearward impacts.
See this video to learn how to attach the bar to the Britax Boulevard Clicktight.

One of the best things about the Boulevard Clicktight is that the seat is more than padded enough for comfort. It will be comfortable for long rides.
One of the major downsides of this seat is its weight. It can be a beast to keep on moving from a vehicle to another.
Its seat cover is easy to remove and put back for washing. But take note that it can only be hand-washed.
The seat is roomy for a growing child, but it can be too big for newborns and younger babies.
The seat harness height can be adjusted to 14 positions as you move the headrest up and down so there is no manual rethreading necessary.
It doesn’t come with a cup holder and infant body support so you will have to get it separately if you find it necessary.

Is The Britax Boulevard Clicktight Car Seat Worth It?
One of the major issues of parents who got this seat is the “difficulty” in installing it. Apparently, it’s not as easy to do it compared to what the videos are showing. However, many parents also praise it for being super easy to install.
It can be confusing especially when there is a mix of opinions when it comes to the ease of installing and uninstalling it. One thing for sure, parents who are talking about easily installing it are referring to the seat belt installation and not the LATCH.
I feel it is best to start using this seat only when your child has already outgrown their infant car seat. The limited recline positions may not be enough for babies who haven’t gained good neck and head control yet.
It’s heavy. Once it is securely installed, it is best to stop moving the seat from one car to another.
While the added audible click of the harness adjuster is a plus, some parents find that the straps on the leg part can be too tight for chubby, older babies. It is not long enough so there is no room to adjust it longer for a child’s comfort.
With all these, The Britax Boulevard Clicktight Car Seat can be a good choice only when your child’s thighs are not too chubby and if you install it with the seatbelt. But in my opinion, it comes with a very high price tag despite the need for some improvement.
I highly suggest that you check out the feedbacks of the parents who got this seat.
