Vs
Graco Milestone
Ideal Use

Rear-Facing Weight: | 4 to 50 pounds | 5 to 40 pounds |
Rear-Facing Height Limit: | Up to 45 inches | the head must be at least 1-inch below the handle |
Forward-Facing Weight: | 22 to 65 pounds | 20 to 65 pounds |
Forward-Facing Height Limit: | Up to 49 inches | 27 to 49 inches |
Booster Weight: | N/A | 30 to 100 pounds |
Booster Height: | N/A | 38 to 57 inches |
The main goal of the Graco Extend2fit seat is to accommodate a child rear-facing for as long as possible. Its seat design has an added 5-inch legroom that can be extended as your rear-facing child needs more room for their legs. In the rear-facing mode, the Extend2fit seat is more advantageous than the Graco Milestone.
In terms of using the car seat the longest, the Milestone wins. It can be converted to a booster mode for up to 100 pounds and 57 inches. The Graco Extend2fit stops to be useful in the forward-facing mode once your child reaches the 65 pounds and 49 inches limit.

Will It Fit In My Car?

Width | 19.2 inches | 17 inches |
Height | 22.1 inches | 18.88 inches |
Depth/Length | 25.2 inches | 24 inches |
The Graco Milestone is a “narrow seat” if you refer to the measurements on the Graco website, just like what I did. It’s 17 inches as per their description. But a parent who got this mentioned that it is not – in fact, she said it’s around 19 inches.
Should you need to install three in a row, narrow seats like the Cosco Scenera Next, Clek Fllo, Clek Foonf, Diono Radian 3RXT, Diono Radian 3RX, and Diono Radian 3R can sure do the job.
The Graco Extend2fit can be space consuming, especially when the extendable leg rest is used and fully reclined in the rear-facing mode.

You don’t need to use a pool noodle when installing the Graco Extend2fit.
In the rear-facing mode, the Extend2fit seems to be easier to deal with.
The Milestone, however, can be a pain to install especially when using the seatbelt.

Both seats have a common issue when it comes to the 5-point harness.
For the Graco Extend2fit, some parents cannot get it tightened correctly to pass the pinch test. The chest clip can be hard to release, too!
For the Milestone, it is super easy to buckle and unbuckle, and can even be done by the little passengers themselves.

Both seats seem to have an issue with the seat material. The Extend2fit seat material doesn’t seem to be too comfy in terms of texture. For the Milestone, there’s a parent who mentioned that her child got rashes using the Milestone seat.
The Extend2fit seat is a little lighter in weight.
In terms of removing the seat cover when you need to wash it, the seat cover of the Milestone seems to be easier to remove.

Conclusion
There is an approximately USD 30 price difference between the Graco Milestone and the Graco Extend2fit. The Milestone is more expensive.
Let’s see what the added cost is for.
- The Graco Milestone can be used longer until the booster mode.
- The Milestone is a little more “compact” when compared to the Extend2fit.
- It is easier to remove its seat cover.
Now let’s see what you’ll get with the Extend2fit aside from the monetary savings.
- It has a higher rear-facing weight limit.
- It has an extendable footrest for added room to make your rear-facing child more comfortable.
- You don’t need to use a pool noodle when installing.
- It is easier to install in the rear-facing mode.
It’s tempting to choose the Graco Extend2fit in this case. If you do so, take note of the following.
- You might not be able to use it for a newborn, straight from the hospital since the most reclined angle can still be too upright for fragile babies without the proper head and neck control yet.
- Make sure that the 5-point harness passes the pinch test. That’s the only way your child is securely buckled up.
- If you have a small vehicle, the seat directly across the car seat may need be to pushed all the way forward, especially when your child is using the extendable footrest.
- In emergency situations when you need to remove the child from the seat and the chest clip is hard to unclip, have an emergency plan or something to get the child out of the harness. There’s a parent who mentioned he has a cutter, just in case they need to cut the harness out.
If you end up choosing the Milestone instead, be aware of the following common feedback.
- There’s a rattling sound in the car sat headrest while driving. It’s not 100% true for all parents who got it, but it was repeatedly mentioned even in high ratings.
- The LATCH and seatbelt installation can be hard to deal with.
- Train your child to stay seated and buckled up.
- You may not be able to use it in the airplane, because even if the manufacturer claimed that it is FAA approved, there’s no sticker anywhere in the seat.
