Strollers come in different kinds. And while some come with complete accessories, some very basic strollers don’t have any accessory at all. What stroller accessories should you consider to get in order to make your life easier?
Here’s the list.
1. The Stroller Organizer
The best stroller organizer you can get should be “universal” so that you can use it with different brands of strollers. Some brand-specific stroller organizers can be better or at par with a generic stroller organizer. However, the flexibility of having an organizer that can be used with different types and brands of strollers is always better than being restricted to something that can only fit a certain brand.
A good stroller organizer should allow easy access for items that you need immediately. It’s good to have deep cup holders, extra-large space for storing phones or wallets, or even iPads!
An organizer that can fit diapers, baby books or even toys is a MUST-HAVE.
This Universal Stroller Organizer will do the above-mentioned jobs. It can fit different brands such as Britax, Baby Jogger, Uppababy, Graco and even Bob. It will also fit the stroller handles of a double-stroller or an umbrella stroller.
A stroller organizer cannot replace a diaper bag. But it will allow you to quickly get your drinks, or answer your phone while strolling without the need to dig into your diaper bag every now and then.
2. The Stroller Hook
Good stroller hooks should be able to carry 6 pounds each at most. While it is never advisable to hang something heavy on your stroller handle, the presence of a stroller hook can let you put in there some light but bulky grocery purchases or a small purse.
But if your stroller is sturdy enough (such as a good jogging stroller), I guess it would be fine to carry a diaper bag in the hooks as long as the weight of the diaper bag is something that will not cause the stroller to tip over. It is an excellent accessory for every parent’s strolling, shopping or jogging trip.
This two-pack of hooks comes with a 100{0b94e73e5e915ecbcf303cb4742b71cc2938bb096419f627339ee9d65669f423} Money Back Guarantee!
3. A Stroller Weather Shield
A good weather shield should have a universal size. It should be waterproof and windproof without comprising the ventilation of the little passenger inside.
A clear and see-through variation is a good choice so that it is easy to check on your little one.
This generic weather shield is an example of a good protection from the rain.
4. A Rayshade Stroller Cover
A Rayshade Stroller cover will do the same job as #3 except that it usually comes as opaque. One disadvantage is that you will not be able to see your child immediately compared to the clear and see-through weather shields.
A Rayshade cover can protect your child from rain, too. But it’s primary used to “extend” the coverage of your stroller’s canopy so that your child is protected from the heat of the sun.
Some Rayshade Stroller Cover even comes with hidden pockets to store a sippy cup and water bottles in an upright position.
5. A Glider Board
A glider board is a piece of small and sturdy board that you can attach to a stroller’s back so that an older child, such as a sibling, can hitch a ride. It should have a surface that is non-slippery for safety purposes.
It would be good if it folds together with a stroller as well as stows against the frame of the stroller when not in use.
This Glider Board is a good example. It is compatible with the Baby Jogger City Series and the single and double models of Summit.
In Summary
These five stroller accessories are MUST-HAVEs in my opinion. It will not only make your strolling experience as convenient as possible but also it will provide extra comfort for your little passenger, too.
My favorite accessory is the stroller organizer. It will reduce the weight of the diaper bag you have to carry. It will also “declutter” your diaper bag.
Sometimes, when you will just be out for a short walk and needs to carry only the necessities (sippy cup, mommy water bottle, phone, keys, and wallet), you don’t need to always lug a diaper bag along with you. And because a stroller organizer can always be attached to the stroller handle, all you have to do is to throw in the essentials inside your organizer.

Thanks for these ideas! My best friend is now on her 7th month pregnancy stage, and we are both excited to go on shopping for some baby items by next week. She already bought a stroller but I will tell her to buy some additional accessories for it.
Hi Racquel,
Glad to help! 🙂 Thanks for dropping by. 🙂

Hello Pitin,
I think the Stroller Hook is the most I strongly need and it’s cheap too.
Hi Ehab,
Stroller hooks are indeed affordable yet very useful. You can hang your diaper bag, groceries, and other stuff as long as they are not very heavy to cause your stroller to tip over.

Pitin
This is a good collection of ideas, especially for a first time parent. It’s so overwhelming to shop for items for your baby registry! The range of baby products available is astounding, and every parent I know has wasted money on products that turned out not to be very useful. If you had to choose just one, would you pick the stroller organizer?
Hi Amanda,
Yup. The stroller organizer it is. A glider board would be next, that is if I get a second child. That way I don’t have to buy another stroller and would just let my older child hitch a ride with her new sibling. 🙂

Pitin
These are all necessities as you have written. There are so many different accessories a new mother needs and this list definitely makes it easier. I love those hooks- the other type of hook slides which makes it annoying. Though if you carry too much on these hooks they do break.
Hi Hollie Rose,
You must be referring to this type of hook. If you are, then yes I agree that they don’t stay in place. It will slide on the sides together with whatever you have hang in there which can make it troublesome especially in the middle of your strolling. It comes in sizes – I both had small and big ones. But I ended up not using them ever again because they keep on sliding. LOL.

Pitin
Out of these five products, I like the stroller organizer most. Keeps everything in order and neat.
Hi Cecille,
Same here. 🙂
Thanks for visiting my site by the way!
